New Associate Kathy Reily
Josh Hudgins, John Hadder, JJ Jones, Tom Pilking, Bruse Ferris and Curt Lege
Also that evening Ceremonial Guard Ribbons and certificates were awarded to our Honor Guard members by Honor Guard Commander Greg Petty
On Dec 15th, some of our members went to visit John Boski to wish him a Merry Christmas.
In attendance were Edd, Vivian, Bryan, John and Jan next to John Boski
It was a nice visit and John very much appreciated the visit from his fellow Marines.
It would be nice if our members would take a moment and send John a Christmas Card. I know John would be so overwhelmed by that small jester. Just knowing he was not alone especially during the Holidays and his fellow Marines were thinking of him.

Tim has been so gracious and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts. Tim's contributions both past and present to Toys for Tots and to our Detachment have not gone unnoticed. This year Tim paid for the wrapping of the Toys for Tots trailer and is also a supporter of our Golf tournament

Again they meet every Sat so stop in and join in the fun.
Oh what fun we had. It was not as cold as last year but the wind was definitely an obstacle we had to overcome and thankfully no rain. Our detachment was well represented in the parade starting with the Color Guard, our trailer, the Toys for Tots trailer, our Float, Dan's M151 Jeep, and the Young Marines Float. I hope you enjoy these pictures.
The Color Guard led the parade. Jimmy walked alongside the color guard. The color guard team Randy, Tom, JJ, Rick and Curt ...Look at them all in step. OOHRAH!!!!!
Our trailer pulled by Bryan and Laura also in the truck was Daniel, he carried Veterans Suicide Awareness Flag in front of Bryan's truck in the parade.
The Toys for Tots trailer got its new wrap just in time for the parade.
Greg and Michael secured the side banner on our float. We had flags but the pulls bent due to the high winds, bummer. Also pictured are some of our ride along members.
Jan and I walked in front of our float carrying the Detachment banner.
Dan drove his M151 Jeep and his ride along was Adria Ancheta a 90yr old Army Korean and Vietnam Veteran. Also pictured is Randy who just stopped by to say hi.
Young Marines getting ready
After the parade some of our members went to Garrison Park to set rebar so the 500 USA flags could be set..and fly in unison. Each one has a heartfelt personal message of thanks from a sponsor. They will be on display from Nov 6th thru the 12th. Try to get by and see the display.
Again it was a great event and hope to see more of you next time now that we have the float to ride on or walk alongside it if you want.
