Fallen Marine - Dan Davis
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of member Dan Davis, the first Commandant of Sgt. Morgan W. Strader Det. 1467 of the Marine Corps League, on the morning of June 21, 2026.
Dan will be remembered with love and appreciation by all who knew him. His presence, kindness, and the memories shared with family and friends will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
A personal note from your Web Sgt: Sometime in the summer of 2019 I was shopping at Food City and Dan was also there and noticed that I was wearing a shirt with the EGA logo and approached me to inform me of a new chapter of the MCL being formed and invited me to to attend an informational meeting. I did and I joined and became one of the plank members. I will always remember our first encounter. Thank you Dan, you will be missed.
